Challenges to Expanding Togo’s Immunization Coverage to the Second Year of Life and Beyond

A Situational Analysis

The Togolese health system has a well-structured immunization program that has generally achieved national immunization coverage rates above 80%. However, Togo in partnership with Gavi’s Equity Acceleration Fund is exploring interventions to reach zero-dose children and missed communities, by developing innovative strategies and partnerships under Gavi 5.0. This report draws on interviews with 12 key informants (government officials and key stakeholders at the national and subnational levels), an analysis of immunization coverage data, and a desk review of key documents.
